First of three finished , if you like proof built . All the alterations and changes i have made to this loco are to aid painting, lining and of course weathering and bear no reflection on the kit itself, i found it a really enjoyable build.

AS promised some photo’s of 011 finished, painted with enamels , transfers by Fox and couplings from CPL.

I think that the large logo livery on the 37's gave them a bit of class.

They were certainly a drivers engine for me.

Off down the West Country now !!!!.

N Class Moguls
These two loco’s were built from Sansperil Kits, i found them easy to go together and the castings were of a good Quality, i used my own system of construction rather than the recommended but i would do that with any kit. The Smoke box / Boiler and fire box were cast pewter which lent itself to the weight factor and most of the etches were in N/Silver, wheels Slater’s and motor and gear boxes from ABC.

All things Great Western Rail-motor.
Not one of the easiest kits I’ve put together and the words challenging would not be true either, but i got there in the end, this is a Scorpio Steam Rail-motor that i built about 3 years ago – in the later part of this year i will start another one which i will do my best to document on these pages, until then take a look at this one.It ran very well after a fair bit of alteration to the motion and the Dean Boigie even pulling 5 brass coaches around a test track at the Newport “O” Gauge show !

I built this a number of years ago from a Gladiator kit , originally the request was for the loco to be weathered on completion, but to my disappointment a change of heart meant that it went out like this, OHH Well cant win em all i suppose

I built this little engine a few years ago for Peter Trigwell from a Roxey Mouldings kit, as i remember i managed to squeeze an ABC power unit between the frames with Slater’s Wheels. It ran very well being able to pull loads out of its size range, embarrassing a few larger loco’s that failed with the same load at a number of garden railways. It went off to Conrad Cooper for painting and lining giving it the superb livery it carry’s in these pics.

A few pics of the Teddy before it is finished .This is from a very old PMK kit and needs a lot of TLC and patience to get it to this point, i hope that these pics light a fire in a potential that this would make a very simple resin kit of not many pieces with etches and castings to complete , a nice starter kit !!!.

Front of the Q

The front from the back !!.

Nearly there.
Unlike the std 4 i have used a good 90% of what was supplied in the box with this kit,the castings if in some ways a little over scale i feel are very well cast with little to no flash or distortion, but it has not been a build for the faint hearted and i would not want to take it on again, but all said and done with the addition of the body details it is beginning to look a little better and more pleasing to the eye.It will be finished in plain black with the Southern sunshine lettering on the tender.
